basically this EP stems out of the feeling that other italian bands (one in particular, but we won't make no names) were getting much more attention than yours truly (yep, you got that right: we were envious!).

so while working on our full length for Freeland Records (jaser/laego) we decided to publish a short CD-r, using takes, sounds and any other interesting material we discarded for the full length.

we got really hooked when working on this short CD-r, especially on the conceptual power combining: skipping disc, field recordings, john cage's ideas, abstract soundscapes and spinning (yes, the indoor cycling activity... it's a long story...), that we had decided to develop a longer version of it (made of 4 CDs) including collaborations with members of DISC. but then it never happened... because we're lazy.

anyway, all this work didn't really bring us any more success than what we had in the past (which reads: no success at all), but this EP was rated by some magazines one of the most important (italian) albums of 2001.

as the previous release (l'invariante.tmp) the CD-r version is now out of print, so we're giving it for free.

have fun with this crazy short tracks. there are probably more ideas packed in each of these songs, than in many full length releases (including ours)...
